The Machamp line was genuis and I am surprised Gamefreak haven’t come up with anything like that yet.
Mohavan raichu is literally dedenne’s evolution
I will note that Ancient Greek statues like that weren’t all white marble in the past, there’s evidence to suggest they were painted over in color in their time. I think doing that for the full Machamp line would be a bit much, but maybe giving Machop some color that wears out as it evolves and gains battle experience, until you have the timeless stony Machamp, would be an interesting alternative direction for this line
I love thoroughly interesting and thoughtful Pokémon designs. I will never get tired of them. I mean come on.

A vanilux divergent for being based on kulfi would be really cool
Mohavan would’ve been great for XY considering that introduced fairy and that region had so many mons with different forms

A note on the Greek statue line.
Greek statues were often very colorful. Bright blues and even purples weren’t uncommon. The colors have since faded and all that’s left is the base marble, but yea, when they were made they were pretty colorful.
I bet the last ones would be great at the olympics

I’d LOVE to see a region based on the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador actually.
Starters would be a Grass/Psychic Lynx, a Fire/Ground horse based on the Newfoundland pony, and a Water/Ice dog based on the Newfoundland dog.
Pikaclone would be a Electric/grass pine marten.
A convergent idea would be a fairy/poison bellsprout based on a pitcher plant.
Other variants would include a rock/dark type sneasel that would hang out in old mines, a ghost type ampharos living in abandoned lighthouses, a grass type stantler based on how moose are basically an invasive species in Newfoundland, and a dark type luvdisc that are more aggressive.
I’d also would probably throw in a split evolution of wingull that’s ice/flying based on puffins.
